What does it mean if I do not want a label at all?
Every time I go to a queer space there is a discussion about which flag to fly. I am happy with myself as I am and I do not really want to name it. Am I avoiding something, or is no-label a real place to stand?
Questioning the need for labels is as valid as choosing them. Plenty of people live happily without filing themselves under a heading — you are not avoiding anything by declining the paperwork. The community part comes from shared space and values, not from which word you wear at the door.
Labels are optional equipment. Some people navigate with a map, some just walk. If "no label" describes you accurately, then you already have your label — it just happens to be a blank one.
