How do I stop second-guessing something I finally feel sure about?
Some days I feel completely sure, and then one comment from a relative sends me back to square one. I am tired of the cycle. How do you make peace with it so it stops feeling like a question every morning?
Certainty comes in waves, and doubt after a sharp comment does not erase what you know — it just shows you are still carrying their voice. What helped me: write down on a good day how you feel and why, in your own words. Re-read it the next time the doubt creeps in. You are arguing with yourself using evidence from your clear moments.
It fades as this becomes ordinary life instead of an event. The first year everything felt like a referendum on my identity; by the second, getting dressed was just getting dressed. The cycle shortens the longer you let yourself live inside the answer.
