Privacy
Umbrella.lgbt is committed to protecting your privacy. Here's our promise, in plain language.
What We Collect
Right now: nothing. This is a static website. We don't use cookies, we don't track you, and we don't collect any personal data.
When the full Umbrella.lgbt platform launches, we will publish a comprehensive privacy policy. Until then, here's what you can expect:
Our Privacy Principles
- No surveillance. We will never track your behavior across the web or sell your data to advertisers. Our business model will never depend on surveillance.
- No data sold. Your personal information, messages, location, health data, and identity information will never be sold to third parties.
- Encryption by default. Direct messages on Umbrella.lgbt are end-to-end encrypted. We cannot read your conversations.
- Anonymous mode. You can use Umbrella.lgbt without revealing your identity. A closeted/anonymous mode is available for users who need it.
- You control your data. Download your data anytime. Delete your account in one click — complete, irreversible deletion.
- No third-party trackers. We don't embed tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or advertising networks that monitor your activity.
What We'll Collect (Transparently)
When the platform launches, we'll collect only what's needed:
- Account information (email, date of birth for age verification)
- Profile information you choose to share
- Content you create (posts, questions, answers, events)
- Messages (end-to-end encrypted — we cannot access them)
Cookies
This pre-launch site does not use cookies. The full platform may use essential cookies for authentication and security, with no advertising or tracking cookies.
